SONYA: The difference in cell turnover when you're young and when you're older is phenomenal. A 20 year old, I think their skin turns over every, I think it’s every 14 days. And when you're 50 it’s every 37 days. And so using microdermabrasion as well as chemical peels will help assist that process so that you have that nice young glowing skin. And so what we do is we do chemical peels. I do a glycolic acid peel, a 70 percent glycolic acid peel. I also do an innovative facial which is a two mask process. And then I also do microdermabrasion with a megapeel machine. Basically this has been a long term facial treatment for people. People always thought it was going to go out because it’s been around for probably 15 years now in most offices but people still like microdermabrasion because it’s a physical exfoliation as opposed to a chemical exfoliation. I also do a stronger peel. It’s a salicylic acid peel. A lot of my acne patients absolutely love salicylic acid peels because it really helps to clear them up. You can just put the mineral makeup on and go somewhere that day. It’s not like you have to not go out of the house. That doesn't happen anymore with these treatments.
